Home Energy Assistance Program Providers

Tough times can make it hard for some families to pay their heating bills. At Bottini Fuel we do not treat our customers like mere numbers in a computer. If you’re having trouble keeping your account up-to-date, let us know. Together, we can come up with a plan that’s realistic for both of us. If you need more assistance, please contact one of these helpful organizations.

HEAP Can Help You with the High Cost of Heating

HEAP (Home Energy Assistance Program) is a federally funded program intended to assist low-income households in meeting their energy expenses.  HEAP is administered by the local Department of Social Services under the supervision of the Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance (OTDA).  A seasonal program, HEAP usually opens in November and closes in the spring.  Generally, all HEAP benefits are paid directly to the vendor.

To be eligible for any of these programs all households must meet income requirements and all requested verification must be provided to the agency prior to benefits being guaranteed or issued. For information and an application contact your local Department of Social Services or visit: http://otda.ny.gov/programs/heap/
