For the second consecutive year, Bottini Fuel sponsored the annual Hudson Valley Hot Air Balloon Festival, which is hosted by the Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce.
This year’s event took place July 7-9 at Barton Orchards in Poughquag. Barton Orchards, a loyal Bottini customer, is a large venue that families enjoy visiting throughout the year. As part of our sponsorship, we donated all of the propane needed to lift the balloons.
Besides balloon rides, activities included a petting zoo, hay mazes, hay rides, plenty of food and refreshments, live music and fireworks.
On St. Patrick’s Day 2017, we wore our green while showing our support for Sparrow’s Nest’s 4th annual Dress Down Day. The proceeds from the sale of these shirts help Sparrow’s Nest to fulfill its mission. Headquartered in Wappingers Falls, this organization provides two meals, once a week, to the families of caregivers who have been diagnosed with cancer. Caregivers are defined as the legal guardians of children who are minors and live in the caregiver’s home. Read more about Sparrow’s Nest.
We recently partnered with Friends of Karen to relieve the financial burden for one of our customers, whose child was critically ill with cancer. We paid 50% of the family’s medical expenses while Friends of Karen took care of the other half. Friends of Karen is a lifeline of support for families in our area who are caring for a child with cancer or another life-threatening illness. Read more about Friends of Karen.
Bottini Fuel works with the Miles of Hope Breast Cancer Foundation
The Bottini Fuel pink truck benefiting the Miles of Hope Breast Cancer Foundation hit the road in the Fall of 2010 delivering fuel throughout the Hudson Valley and Catskill region. Bottini Fuel will donate to Miles of Hope a portion of the proceeds from deliveries made by this truck.
“When Bottini came to us with this idea, we were thrilled,” said Pari Forood, Executive Director of Miles of Hope. “It is an innovative way for businesses to help not only their employees and their families affected by breast cancer but also to show the community that they have a stake in the overall quality of life in the Hudson Valley.”
Rick Bottini contacted Miles of Hope when he was told that members of Bottini Fuel’s work force were closely associated with the disease. “We wanted to do something to show our work family and our customers that we recognize the importance of breast cancer, and support Miles of Hope. Many of our employees already volunteer for Miles of Hope, so it was a perfect fit for us,” Rick Bottini said.
Have $50 donated in your name by signing up for a new account and telling your sales representative.

We were proud to sponsor America the Beautiful, a benefit concert for Hudson Valley Honor Flight, a nonprofit organization that honors American veterans for their sacrifices. The concert took place July 30, 2016 at the Goshen Historic Track in Goshen.
More than 1,300 people turned out to see performances by 18-time Grammy winner Jimmy Sturr and his Orchestra, along with Chris Caffery from Trans-Siberian Orchestra and the Duprees.
Proceeds will be used to fly Hudson Valley veterans to Washington DC so they can visit the memorials erected in their honor—at no cost to them. Priority is given to our dwindling population of World War II vets, as well as those who are terminally ill. More than 1,000 veterans from our area have made this emotional trip since the Hudson Valley Honor Flight was formed in 2012.
Bottini Fuel is honored to salute our vets for their service! As a small token of our appreciation, we provide discounted rates for all members of the military, both past and present.
Our business PTA memberships help bring students and their families closer together. Special events like school dances, Mom & Dad breakfasts, field trips, shows, meetings, and assemblies are all made possible through a business PTA membership. We’re proud to support Sheafe Road Elementary and many other schools in our service area! Read more about supporting your local PTA here.
