• 1,000-gallon propane tanks: Tanks of this size are generally used for commercial or industrial applications. However, if you have a particularly large home and use propane for a variety of appliances and some of those appliances are high-BTU appliances like a pool heater, this might be the right size for you. Tanks of this size can be installed either aboveground or underground.
