Sullivan County: Nature, culture, we have it all!

propane delivery in sullivan county
Nestled in the Catskills, with the Delaware River nearby, Sullivan County offers loads of natural beauty and year-round outdoor activities, which have attracted people for centuries.
Many people were lured here in 1969 when the legendary Woodstock music festival was held on Max Yasgur’s farm in Bethel.

Sullivan County was home to World War II hero Francis Currey, who grew up in Loch Sheldrake, and Hurleyville, who was awarded the military’s highest decoration—the Medal of Honor—for his heroism during the Battle of the Bulge.

Currey was one of only 472 American service members to receive the medal in World War II. He also earned a Purple Heart, Silver Star, and Bronze Star. Belgium awarded Currey its Order of Leopold medal for meritorious service to the country.

During an early-morning tank advance by the Germans in Malmedy, Belgium, on December 21, 1944, Currey repeatedly exposed himself to hostile fire while firing upon and killing several German soldiers. He then used a bazooka and anti-tank grenades to cause four German tank crews to abandon the tanks, which allowed Currey to rescue five comrades who had been trapped by enemy fire.
The G.I. Joe Medal of Honor action figure made in 1998 was modeled based on Currey.

Sullivan County is big on Bottini!

“I was shopping around for a new propane provider, and I called five different companies. Bottini had the best price by far. They were right on time to install my new tanks, and the installation was professional and efficient. The office staff is always a pleasure to speak to when calling. I highly recommend Bottini!” —Joe L.

“I have been a Bottini customer for 10 years. They have always been reliable, fairly priced, and are exceptionally courteous and helpful. Their website is user-friendly, and payment is easy. I wouldn’t go anywhere else for propane service.” —Mel D.
